Our Veterans Earned Our Commitment
The men and women who have served in our armed forces represent the very best of West Virginia. They left their families, their communities, and their comfort behind to defend the values and freedoms we hold dear. When they come home, we owe them far more than gratitude — we owe them action.
West Virginia has one of the highest per-capita rates of military service in the nation. That is a source of enormous pride, and it comes with an enormous responsibility. I will be a tireless advocate for our veterans at every level of government.
Access to Healthcare and Benefits
Too many veterans are falling through the cracks of an overwhelmed VA system. Long wait times, bureaucratic red tape, and inadequate rural coverage are leaving our heroes without the care they earned. I will fight to expand veterans' healthcare access in West Virginia, including through improved telehealth options and mobile health units for remote areas.
Ensuring that every eligible veteran receives the benefits they are owed — for service-related disabilities, education, housing, and more — is not optional. It is a debt we must pay.
Supporting Veteran Entrepreneurs and Families
Many veterans return home with extraordinary skills, discipline, and leadership experience. We should be channeling that into our economy. I support expanded resources for veteran-owned businesses, priority hiring programs in state contracts, and community networks that help veterans transition successfully into civilian careers and entrepreneurship. Our veterans built America — let's give them the tools to rebuild West Virginia.
